Our total annual membership fee is £40.
£10 is our subscription fee which allows free entry to monthly meetings, subsidised social events and newletters
A further £30 is included as a premium for public and product liability insurance cover of up to £5m.
We meet in the 'Age Concern' room at the Farnborough Community Centre, West Mead, Farnborough, Hampshire GU14 7LE on the third Wednesday of the month at 7.45 for an 8 o'clock start. This building is situated beside the Recreation Centre, The Ten Pin Bowl and near the Library.
You will be notified which evening to come along to meet us. We would like you to bring along some samples of your work. You will be allocated a table to cover with a suitable cloth and arrange a display to show the variety of work you do and would want to sell at our shows.
You will be offered tea, coffee or a soft drink. The members will come and have a chat and look at your work as they arrive. They may ask how you chose your craft, how long you have been doing it and how you go about making it, while they have their refreshments.
You will be able to stay for the beginning of the meeting when we give out information about the planning of our shows, details we may have been given of other shows and any useful hints or experiences that members have had during the past month.
At about 9.0pm you will be asked to clear away your work and leave the meeting. (The meeting continues until about 10 o'clock)
The members at the meeting that night will then assess your work with safety, quality of finish, skill and presentation. We need to be formal at this stage as you will probably be joining our insurance scheme. You will be notified of our comments within a few days.
If you are accepted and join the Guild we hope you find us a relaxed group of friendly people..
After joining us you will be encouraged to sell at our craft fairs. We try to help with advice on displaying your work or pricing if you need it. We pass on information about other craft fairs we learn about, packaging bargains and display equipment.
